Suncatcher

Heimia salicifolia

Shrubby Yellowcrest, Willow-leaf Suncatcher

About This Plant

Partial shade or partial sun. An herbaceous shrub-like perennial, evergreen in warm winters. Long leaves resemble loosestrife, with multiple reddish stems and bright buttercup-like flowers throughout the warm season. Suncatcher is useful as an informal low screening hedge behind display beds; it forms dense stands. Prune as needed to contain and control height.

Origins: Tropical Americas from U.S. to Argentina
