About This Plant

Small and evergreen, with twisting straplike leaves and creamy white flower spikes between May and July. Twist-leaf yucca tolerates thin shady soils and requires no care once established. See it growing in parks and natural areas throughout northern San Antonio, Austin and the Hill Country.

Its small size makes it ideal for walkways and edges. Deer leave it alone, but they may eat the flower stalks before they open.

Maintenance

None needed.
