Cedar Sedge

A small evergreen sedge, appearing as a grasslike texture in the shade underneath mountain cedar and other prairie grasses. It grows as a single clump, not a turf, but can be paired with low-profile plants like cedar sage and horseherb for a native groundcover. See it growing throughout the Hill Country in the loose, rich soil under dense cedar stands. It’s not widely available commercially, so preserve it if you have it on-site.
