About This Plant
Part sun/part shade. A mounding and sprawling evergreen perennial with needle-like leaves. Tiny white blooms are followed by small red berries. Not a true fern, it is actually a member of the lily family; “foxtail” fern is in fact the same species, just a different form.
Use asparagus fern for a hardy perennial to fill in around more strongly formed plants or planters. It spills out around other plants like sea foam, for a nice effect.
Maintenance
None required. Light shaping; may require supplemental watering if planted in sun. Cut back as needed if damaged by freezing temperatures; it will return from the roots.
