Whether you’re a longtime landscaper or green to gardening, the new and improved, mobile-friendly Garden Style San Antonio website has everything you need to create your own outdoor oasis.

The Garden Style San Antonio website has been the go-to site for green gardeners and longtime landscapers alike for several years. Now it has been completely revamped to give you faster, more efficient access to all our landscape and horticultural knowledge — whether you’re on a smartphone, tablet or full-size computer.

Novice gardeners will appreciate the “Gardening 101” section loaded with simple basics to get started gardening and a new “Maintenance” page lists landscaping activities by month and plant type. Also, getting tips from the Garden Geek himself is now easier than ever.

“I get questions almost daily on which pollinator and drought-tolerant plants to use or what recommended tree to plant,” said Mark Peterson, Garden Geek and project coordinator. “With the new site, I can direct people quickly to their desired plants and to previously published articles on design and maintenance.”

The search function in the plant database has been enhanced to include more specific details when searching such as plant type, sun or shade, native to Texas or not, and more.

“You can tailor your search to find exactly what you need, such as evergreen or deer-resistant plants,” explains Sasha Kodet, Conservation Planner. “You can even filter by flower color or bloom period.”

Another new feature is the Garden Resources section, which is a comprehensive guide for those new to gardening in general or new to gardening in San Antonio.

“We want to help support our customers’ water-saving landscaping efforts,” Kodet said. “From landscape designs to watering tips, you’ll find everything you need in Gardening Resources to create your own outdoor oasis!”
