A Season To Celebrate Those Who Pollinate

Cooler weather is the perfect invitation to explore the great outdoors and take a peek at the pollinators puttering and fluttering about.

With the advent of cooler weather, there are a few pollinator-packed events happening in the coming weeks. Although the events are virtual, you can still get outside and experience the pollinators firsthand.

For starters, the Pollinator Festival — which used to be held just one weekend — now extends throughout the entire month of October!

Included in the month-long celebration are on-demand how-to videos for attracting monarchs, bees and other pollinators to your garden, as well as educational short films about pollinators beyond butterflies.

And here are two more pollen-packed virtual activities.

Rainbow Gardens Bandera location is hosting a “Pollinator Gardening is for Everyone” tour and mini class Oct. 23 and Oct. 30. Sign up now!

And the WaterSaver Landscape Tour — it’s virtual this year — features many landscapes designed with pollinators in mind. Register for the free Zoom webinar here.
