Join Texas Master Naturalist, and retired forester, Bob Morris on a slow, guided educational walk to learn about the natural features that make McAllister Park a truly special place. Bob shares insights and knowledge gained over 25 years in natural resource management and outdoor education. This casual walk will range in topics related to native plants, geology, hydrology, and land stewardship.
Walking distance will be approximately 1 mile on mostly flat, dirt trails with some rugged roots and rocks. The trail is predominantly shaded; however you should bring your own water, sun protection, insect repellent, as needed.
This event is capped at 10 people; registration required. The activity is suitable for ages 12 & up; please, no dogs. Meet at Optimist Pavilion (Pavilion #3).
