Spring Into Gardening March 11 and 12

The month of March officially launches gardening season in San Antonio — and SAWS is ready to help you get off to a great start with our virtual “Spring Into Gardening” webinar series.

Whether you’re a newbie or have a glistening green thumb, these interactive online discussions will help you begin a gorgeous garden upgrade to a landscape with less thirsty lawn and more drought-hardy plants.

Best of all, each virtual presentation is rewards eligible! That’s right — WaterSaver Rewards members can earn enough coupon points to begin your landscape transformation.

Our conservation partners the Gardening Volunteers of South Texas and Bexar County Master Gardeners will kick off the online extravaganza Friday, March 11.

Mark Peterson
Mark A. Peterson was a conservation project coordinator for San Antonio Water System before retiring. With over 30 years of experience as an urban forester and arborist, Mark is probably the only person you know who actually prunes trees for fun. When not expounding on the benefits of trees and limited lawns, you're likely to find him hiking San Antonio's wilderness parks or expounding on the virtues of geography and history to his friends.
