SAWS ensures our beautiful city always has a safe, reliable and quality supply of water at every turn of the tap. YOU play a huge role in how our city manages water resources successfully. We are excited to share more about the sources of our drinking water and where it goes “after the flush.” Please join the SAWS Education Team for The Rain to Drain Experience!
During this FULL day-long expedition, we’ll travel to places few people have ever visited! You’ll explore an Edwards Aquifer recharge cave, experience the inner workings of a SAWS water production facility, and tour a water recycling center. This is a full day, with a significant amount of time spent traveling on a bus. The trip involves walking for short distances (less than .5 miles) on uneven pathways at Stone Oak Park and some SAWS facilities. Please wear supportive, closed-toed footwear, and dress for the weather.
Breakfast and Lunch will be provided by SAWS. The field experience is 9:00 a.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m.
Free with advance registration. Be sure to sign up now, as seats are limited and this tour will fill quickly!
