Join us at Mitchell Lake after dark to celebrate National Moth Week! This worldwide community science event highlights the beauty, diversity, and ecological importance of moths. Often called nature’s nighttime pollinators, moths play a vital role in pollinating native plants and serve as an important food source for many birds and other wildlife.

Learn about the important relationship between moths and native plants, including which native species attract and support moths throughout their life cycle. Explore our native plant gardens, experience the fragrant flowers that rely on nighttime pollinators, and help survey moths and other nocturnal insects attracted to our UV light stations.

Registration is required.
