Session 1
Brad Wier, editor of the revised San Antinio Water System Landscaping Guide, will introduce the new book and explain how to use it for the most benefit. Every adult attendee will receive one copy free. Editor will be available to autograph copies beginning at 11:30.
Session 2
Springtime is the perfect time of year to start thinking about adding to your native plant collection, but you don’t have to spend money to increase your plants! Rose Flores, Director of Eco Centro at San Antonio College, will give an overview of anatomy and physiology of native herbaceous plants and what steps and materials you will need to propagate them. Flores will explain why herbaceous cuttings are the easiest way to propagate plants and the parts of a plant relevant to propagation. Attendees will process a basic cutting they can use at home. Get ready to grow native herbaceous plants through propagation in this hands-on workshop to grow your garden from cuttings of native plants.
