Gardening Essentials includes two presentations on the third Monday of every month. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from expert gardeners and fellow gardening enthusiasts, who will share their knowledge and tips on various gardening techniques. From choosing the right plants for your garden to proper soil preparation and maintenance, we’ll cover all the essentials you need to know to create a thriving garden.
August 19 Session 1: “Native Riparian Plants of San Pedro Creek and the San Antonio River in Historical and Cultural Connections” presented by Peter Pierson, Natural Resource Management Specialist for the San Antonio River Authority.
August 19 Session 2: “River Road Ecosystem Restoration Project” presented by Kathleen Rubin.
Both speakers will discuss the importance of native plants and flora for our ecosystem and preservation of our natural resources which includes water conservation.
