Learn the basics of trail building while helping improve the Mail Trail! Volunteers will help widen the first 0.05 miles of the trail to improve accessibility for everyone.
Together, we’ll clear brush and vegetation with intention, then mulch the trail to create the first layer of a flat trail surface. Participants of this workshop will learn erosion control and stormwater retention methods in a floodplain landscape as they help widen the Main Trail.
We’ll also construct new signage to welcome visitors into the preserve!
