Sun or shade. Evergreen, drought tolerant and tough as nails with long wire-like leaves resembling bunchgrass or liriope. Creamy flower clusters appear in mid-spring. This nolina doesn’t mind sun, but it’s also a great choice for shady rocky soils where its squat form makes a nice architectural accent.
Great for erosion control; it can easily drape over walls in the manner of trailing rosemary. A southwest Texas native.
