Sun or partial sun. A drought-tolerant perennial coneflower with paler and more slender rays making up its single pink flowerheads. Although less commonly used in home landscaping than E. purpurea, this more drought-tolerant variety tolerates an extra-wide range of soil types and moisture levels and responds well to the care it receives in home gardens.
The roots, leaves and fruits have been used in teas, juices, chews and hand washes to treat almost every ailment.
Maintain mulch and water as needed to avoid complete soil dryness.
