Full sun (or very partial shade); evergreen. Cecile Brunner is an antique rose called the Sweetheart, because its small, picture-perfect flower buds arrive just in time for Valentine’s Day.
A climbing polyantha, it is a repeat bloomer, and nearly thornless.
As with most antique roses, plan on pruning twice a year – once in early spring and once in the fall. Deadheading may be performed as needed.
Roses are drought-hardy, but they do appreciate consistent soil moisture in summer.
