Full sun; a drought-tolerant annual that blooms in white, purple, pink and red. Easily grown from seed, globe amaranth has relatively few pest problems (but may develop root rot if over-watered.) Also called bachelor’s button and cornflower, it makes a long-lasting cut or dried flower.
An annual, requiring planting and watering to establish, and cleanup at the end of its growing season. After all danger of frost has passed and overnight temperatures have warmed up, plant 9-12 inches apart (for good air flow) in well-drained soil.Â
