About This Plant
Part shade/shade. Evergreen, with large, tropical foliage. Philodendron is a big, bold understory specimen that makes a nice centerpiece in shade under oak trees.
Maintenance
Philodendron is easily damaged by freezing temperatures, so it’s best planted near south-facing walls for protection and winter warmth. Keep it mulched and out of direct sun; the appropriate soil moisture is best found in shade.
Expect to apply supplemental water during drought.
