About This Plant
Sun to part shade. A nearly evergreen perennial, with lavender flowers spring to fall. You can’t miss the garlic odor. The name is a reference to the fact that this garlic can be eaten “in society” — i.e., it doesn’t cause bad breath or stinky fingers.
Keep in mind, society garlic isn’t preferred by deer, but they may eat it anyway. It prefers a bit of protection from afternoon sun — for full sun, you may have better luck with bulbine.
Maintenance
Trim spent blooms as needed.
