About This Plant

Sun to part shade; semi-evergreen, with a sprawling form and aromatic gray-green leaves. Many varieties are available; Italian and Greek oregano are standards used in cooking. Provide good drainage. Unlike many herbs, oregano tends to retain its foliage in winter, making it useful as a pleasant spreading groundcover.

Maintenance

Expect some supplemental summer water in exposed locations.
