About This Plant

Sun to partial shade. Blue flowers with white rims resemble tiny bunches of grapes atop grass-like winter foliage. An old-fashioned pass-along bulb, grape hyacinth persists in cemeteries and old homesites without any particular care as long as it’s not mowed — hence “neglectum.”

The leaves disappear in summer and re-appear after weather cools in autumn.

Maintenance

None required, as long as there’s sun and occasional moisture while they’re above ground.
