About This Plant
Dry shade to part shade; evergreen, ribbon-like foliage with small blooms in spring. Used as a foliage plant, it plays a role comparable to cast-iron plant, bicolor and butterfly iris. It may appreciate some protection from hot afternoon sun, but takes a wide range of conditions in stride.
It’s not preferred by deer. Variegated forms are available.
