Festival of Flowers flourishes again

Expert landscaping tips and tricks and free WaterSaver plants — don’t miss this daylong event!

The Festival of Flowers bursts back onto the gardening scene Saturday, June 3! After a three-year hiatus, the daylong event returns with South Texas gardening experts, speakers and vendors congregating at San Antonio Shrine Auditorium.

Check out the indoor mall for plants, gardening supplies, and a farmer’s market with local produce, eggs and honey. Exhibitors include nurseries, landscapers, growers, artisans and nonprofits. And don’t miss a returning favorite the largest plant exchange in Texas!

For landscaping tips and tricks, the how-to gardening seminars and Organic Roundtable are not to be missed. At center stage, children can work with plants, soil and gardening tools and receive a potted plant to care for at home.

Remember to stop by SAWS Conservation Station for a free WaterSaver plant (one per adult), while supplies last.

Festival of Flowers happens from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Shrine Auditorium, 901 N. Loop 1604 West (exit Stone Oak Parkway).

Admission is $8, children 10 and younger get in free.
