Each year SAWS offers two different coupon programs simultaneously twice a year. This is the perfect time to get those creative juices flowing and combine the coupons to create your perfect backyard oasis.
Like previous offerings, the programs require you to remove at least 200 square feet of turf per program coupon. And new to the program is the requirement to send us a photo. Both coupons require that irrigation heads be capped in the area of work and grass be eliminated.

- First, decide where you want your patio. Map out the area for your project by using a garden hose in the shape you want. If you’re wondering just how big 200 square feet is here’s a visual: a one-car garage is a little more than 200 square feet. There are many dimensions you could use, but 10 feet by 20 feet and 4 feet by 50 feet are most common.
- Next, determine how much stone you’ll need for the project. Once that’s done, consider how to incorporate plants from the coupon package around your new patioscape. You can make one 200-square-foot bed on one side of the patio or be creative and create a continuous landscape bed around several sides of the patio for an oasis effect.
- Lastly, schedule a consultation with one of our experts by emailing us at consult@saws.org so we can come out and take a look at your irrigation system, and possibly offer other incentives for getting rid of those irrigation heads. (This is a requirement for both coupon programs.)
