San Antonio Water System ensures our beautiful city always has a safe, reliable and quality supply of water at every turn of the tap. YOU play a huge role in how our city manages water resources successfully. On an unforgettable Rain to Drain tour, you can join the SAWS Education Team to learn more about the sources of our drinking water – and where it goes “after the flush.”
During this FULL day-long expedition, we’ll travel to places few people have ever visited: explore an Edwards Aquifer recharge cave, experience the inner workings of a SAWS water production facility, and tour a water recycling center. This is a full day, with a significant amount of time spent traveling on a tour bus. The trip involves walking for short distances (less than .5 miles) on uneven pathways at Stone Oak Park and some SAWS facilities. Please wear supportive, closed-toed footwear.
Free. Advance registration required. Seats are limited. Breakfast and Lunch will be provided by SAWS.
The field experience is 9:00 a.m. – approximately 5:00 p.m., beginning at and returning to SAWS headquarters at 2800 U.S. 281 North.
Cancellation policy: San Antonio Water System reserves the right to cancel a trip at any time due to attendance, weather or security reasons.
