There’s no better place to learn about birds—and how to support them—than at Mitchell Lake Audubon Center. Our 1,200-acre sanctuary hosts over 300 bird species annually across four diverse habitats: wetlands, woodlands, brushlands, and grasslands.
Join us every fourth Saturday for Bird Tours designed for beginning birders. Traveling by foot, your guide will cover bird identification, proper binocular use, and how native plants and water-wise landscaping support birds and wildlife.
This family-friendly program is ideal for ages 5 and up, but advanced birders are also welcome. Discover how learning to bird goes hand-in-hand with conserving water and protecting native habitats.
