General Terms

You must be a current SAWS residential water customer to be eligible for a coupon. Wastewater-only customers are not eligible.
There is a lifetime limit of eight total redeemed coupons (WaterSaver Landscape and WaterSaver Patioscape) per service address.
Note: You will be required to submit photos of your completed project by Nov 15 to be eligible for any new conservation programs.
SAWS reserves the right to use photos submitted on this application for program promotions. Identifying information as to customer name and address will not be used on selected photos.
Customers with irrigation systems may be eligible for an Irrigation Design Rebate. Before making any changes to your irrigation system, please schedule an irrigation consultation by calling 210-704-SAVE (7283). Possible rebate opportunities will be discussed during the consultation.
If you have an irrigation system, you must remove all irrigation heads/driplines in the garden bed before installation.
You must remove a minimum of 200 square feet of grass in a contiguous area to be eligible for a WaterSaver Coupon.
The package is available for grass/turf replacement and irrigation removal only.
SAWS will email eligible customers a coupon(s) to be redeemed at partnering nurseries/vendors for a portion of the package cost. Allow two weeks from submission to receive your coupon(s).
Customers must submit up to 3 photos of the completedcoupon project via email for a post-inspection by a SAWS representative. WaterSaver Rewards members members will receive 3 points for successfully completing their final inpsection by Nov. 15, 2024 (limit 3 points per year). WaterSaver Rewards point will not be awarded for submissions past this date.

Photo Requirements

You will be required to submit photos:

Applying for Coupon: One (1) photo of site where you plan to remove grass and install your new landscape bed.
Post-Inspection: Up to three (3) photos of completed project for inspection by a SAWS representative. WaterSaver Rewards members will receive 3 points for successfully completing their final inpsection by Nov. 15, 2024 (limit 3 points per year). WaterSaver Rewards point will not be awarded for submissions past this date.
Photos of completed project must be received by November 15. to be eligible for any future conservation programs.
SAWS reserves the right to use photos submitted on this application for program promotions. Identifying information, such as customer name and address, will remain private and will not be used or shared.

Landscape Coupon Terms

A WaterSaver Landscape Coupon provides a discount of up to $100 for purchase of plants. Nursery partner prices, customer plant selection and plant size will determine the plant package’s final cost.
Existing landscape beds are not eligible for this program.
New landscape beds must be at least 200 contiguous square feet per coupon.
Customers must purchase plants from the approved WaterSaver Coupon list. There will be no substitution of plants, nor does SAWS guarantee plant health. Please consult your nursery professionals and the Garden Style San Antonio website for water, sun and maintenance needs.
Customers must pick 15 plants in any combination. Plants do have minimum size requirements. Small plants must be purchased in 1 gallon containers and small trees in 5 gallon containers. These are standard-sized containers available at nurseries. If assistance is needed, your nursery representative can help you.
For the greatest success, thoroughly remove the grass in the bed area and mulch with 2 inches of mulch once the plants are planted.
The customer must agree to allow a post-inspection by a SAWS representative.
